Our Story

RAHRDOG was founded by Tara Harper Rahr and Fritz Rahr, two dog lovers tired of spending hundreds of dollars on “indestructible” toys that fell apart in seconds. So they set out to build something better — a virtually indestructible dog ball that could keep up with even the most determined chewer.

But RAHRDOG was never just about a better ball. From day one, the mission was bigger: create a product that gives back to the dogs who need it most.

The Ball

The RAHRDOG Ball is engineered to outlast the rest. Its anti-collapse, multi-layered surface flexes with every bite — staying virtually indestructible while remaining safe for play. Its bold blue is one of the only colors dogs can truly see, making every game of fetch a feast for their eyes.

Our Give-Back Mission

With every Rahr Ball purchase, one Rahr Ball is donated to a shelter dog within one week. We partner with Dallas Animal Services, Saving Hope, HSNT, and Fort Worth Animal Care and Control to spread joy, ease boredom, and boost adoptions.

So far, we’ve gifted 1,000+ balls to shelter dogs — and we’re just getting started.
